New engineering procurement standards issued in 2026: valve intelligence, wear and corrosion resistance included in mandatory assessment indicators

Updated procurement specifications for key national chemical, metallurgical and municipal projects took effect in 2026. Tenders no longer focus merely on pricing, with three mandatory evaluation criteria added: first, test reports on wear resistance, high-temperature resistance and anti-corrosion performance of valves; second, supporting functions of intelligent remote control and fault early warning; third, full-process production qualification traceability to block OEM and counterfeit products. Projects involving severe abrasion and corrosion such as steel slag treatment, alumina and silicon chemical processes give priority to customized hard-sealed and ceramic-lined special valves, raising the bid threshold for ordinary general valves significantly.
